When my niece, a Houston police officer asked me to make her a knife, the Taylor MBS was the result. Taylor is my niece’s name and the MBS moniker came from my brother’s initial reaction to the knife. He said that it looks like a little broad sword. Hence the name became Taylor MBS (Mini Broad Sword). This is the first knife that I have officially named. The blade steel is CPM 154 cm. It is a stainless steel with excellent edge holding ability. The handle is afzelia xylay burl with water buffalo horn and leather spacers. The blade was professionally heat treated by Texas Knife Maker’s Supply, including subzero deep cryogenic tempering. Beautiful custom knife and custom sheath, both made by Vance Hinds. The blade is a double tanto with a chisel grind, polished to a mirror finish. The guard and pommel are double aught “00” iron, heat blued. Texas residents must pay 8.25% sales tax. Shipping and handling is $6.00 to the U.S. International shipping rates will be determined up purchase.
SOLD ($450.00 for a similar knife to be made)
